Nickerson Mountain is a summit in Carroll County, New Hampshire, in the northeastern Ossipee Mountains. It was once also called Mount Whittier, but that name was later assigned by the USGS to the neighboring peak just to the west. The mountain is closely associated with the former Mount Whittier Ski Area, whose trails and scenic gondola operated there until 1985. Although the official name shifted to the adjacent mountain, the earlier name remains part of the area's local history because of that long connection.
