Rocky Peak Ridge is a 4,420-foot Adirondack High Peak in New York's Giant Mountain Wilderness near Keene, ranking twentieth in height and standing just east of Giant Mountain. Its name reflects its long, rocky form rather than a rounded summit. Earlier names included Giant's Wife, Bald Mountain, and Bald Peak. A major 1903 forest fire stripped away topsoil on the upper ridge, helping create the mountain's unusually open, exposed character. The earliest recorded ascent was made in 1878 by guides Fred J. Patterson and Sam Dunning. Lake Mary Louise near the summit recalls Mary Louise Wicks, and the ridge is known for broad views and climbing routes from either east or west.
