Big Horn is an unofficially named peak in Washington’s Cascade Range within the Goat Rocks Wilderness and is recognized as the highest point in Lewis County. One of the Goat Rocks, it stands on the ridge west of Gilbert Peak and just west of Goat Citadel, the ridge’s highest point. Climbers especially note Big Horn because its easiest ascent includes what is often considered the hardest pitch among Washington’s 39 county high points. Near the summit, a 10-foot vertical crack creates the route’s crux, rated a difficult class 4 by Fred Beckey.
