Gilbert Peak is an 8,184-foot mountain in Washington’s Goat Rocks, straddling Yakima County and the Yakama Indian Reservation. Part of the mountain lies within the Goat Rocks Wilderness, and it is the highest summit in the Goat Rocks. Its rugged form comes from the deeply eroded remains of an extinct stratovolcano, which shaped the surrounding range. Meade Glacier on the southeastern slopes and Conrad Glacier on the north slope contribute to the alpine landscape of one of the highest points in the southern Washington Cascades.
