Meade Glacier
Nature
Meade Glacier lies in Washington’s Goat Rocks region within the Goat Rocks Wilderness of Snoqualmie National Forest, about a quarter mile south of Conrad Glacier and immediately east of Gilbert Peak. The glacier is divided into three sections, and its lower ablation zone at about 6,400 feet is no longer connected to the upper accumulation zone at about 7,800 feet. This separation gives Meade Glacier a fragmented form that reflects the steep, rugged terrain of the high Goat Rocks.
