Twister Falls is a waterfall on Eagle Creek in Hood River County, Oregon, notable for the way its water seems to twist around itself while dropping through a narrow canyon. Although it has also been known as Crossover Falls, Crisscross Falls, Bowtie Falls, and Eagle Creek Falls, the U.S. Geological Survey has assigned no official name. The falls descend about 140 feet in three parts: a short sliding cascade into a pool, rapids leading to a distinctive 50-foot twisting plunge, and a final 80-foot drop after a smaller stream splits off in a separate plunge and then rejoins the main flow. The crossing streams give the falls their familiar name.
