Lincoln Peak is a mountain in Vermont’s Green Mountains, within Green Mountain National Forest on the border of Addison and Washington counties. Its summit is in the town of Lincoln, and it is bordered by Mount Abraham and Nancy Hanks Peak. Both the mountain and the town are named for Major General Benjamin Lincoln, associated with the American Revolutionary War victory at Saratoga. The Long Trail crosses its summit ridge, and Sugarbush Resort occupies its northeast slope. Lincoln Peak also stands in the Lake Champlain watershed, with runoff reaching Lake Champlain through the Mad, Winooski, New Haven, and Otter river systems before continuing north to the Gulf of Saint Lawrence.
