Nature
Ben Gorm, or An Bhinn Ghorm, is a 700-metre mountain in County Mayo, Ireland, on the north side of Killary Harbour. Its Irish name means “the blue peak,” and it is the highest summit in the small Ben Gorm group. That group also includes Ben Creggan at 693 metres and Maul Laur, also known as Meall Láir or Ben Creggan South Top, at 687 metres. These heights stand between several surrounding landscapes: Killary Harbour to the south, Fin Lough and Doo Lough to the west, Glenummera to the north, and Glendavock to the east. Nearby lakes and valleys separate the group from the Mweelrea Mountains and the Sheeffry Hills.
