Jericho Mountain State Park in Berlin, New Hampshire, centers on Jericho Lake and a broad forest tract in the White Mountains. Created in 2005 from a small city park and a much larger private parcel, it grew around a lake built in the 1970s for flood control on the Dead River. The park became New Hampshire’s first state-land ATV trail network and later connected to wider riding routes across northern New Hampshire, giving riders direct access to nearby towns. It also offers camping, swimming, fishing, canoeing, snowmobiling, and a notable public-land 4x4 route. The area’s earlier history included logging camps, sawmills, and an 1837 camp fire that killed three early Berlin pioneers.
