Slate Covered Bridge in Westport, a village of Swanzey, New Hampshire, carries Westport Village Road over the Ashuelot River. The original bridge, built in 1862, was a single-span Town lattice truss that served both local travel and what was then part of New Hampshire Route 10. Surviving for more than a century through repairs and replacement parts, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 as one of the state's relatively few covered bridges from that era. Destroyed by arson in 1993, it was replaced in 2001 with a reproduction that preserves the historic bridge's appearance while continuing its practical use.
