Sawyers Crossing Covered Bridge, also known as the Cresson Bridge, is a wooden covered road bridge in west Swanzey, New Hampshire, carrying Sawyers Crossing Road over the Ashuelot River. Built in 1859 to replace an earlier 1771 crossing, it is one of New Hampshire’s surviving 19th-century covered bridges and remains part of the town’s transportation network. The bridge has a two-span Town truss on split-granite abutments with a central pier, and it retains features such as vertical board siding, a metal gabled roof, and rounded-corner portals. Reinforced and repaired over time, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
