Sandwich Mountain, also known as Sandwich Dome, rises 3,983 feet in New Hampshire’s White Mountains along the border of Sandwich and Waterville Valley and between Carroll and Grafton counties. In the Sandwich Range, it is flanked by Mount Tripyramid and Mount Weetamoo across Sandwich Notch, and several maintained trails cross its summit, making it a noted destination in a less developed part of the range. The mountain is also significant for its divided drainage: its north and west slopes feed the Mad River, Pemigewasset, and Merrimack toward the Gulf of Maine at Newburyport, while its south and east slopes drain through the Bearcamp, Ossipee, and Saco system to the sea at Saco.
