Nippletop is a prominent High Peaks mountain in New York's Adirondacks, standing 4,620 feet in the Colvin Range within the High Peaks Wilderness of Adirondack Park. It ranks as the state's 13th-highest peak and is one of the 46 Adirondack High Peaks. Its earliest recorded ascent came on August 31, 1837, when Ebenezer Emmons reached the summit with state scientists and guides. Emmons called it Dial, but local usage preserved the name Nippletop, drawn from the summit's shape, and Dial was later given to a neighboring peak. The mountain is reached by trail from the Ausable Club and is often climbed with nearby peaks in a loop.
