Vasquez Peak Wilderness is a protected wilderness area in Colorado, southwest of Winter Park, within the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests. Covering 12,300 acres, it became part of the federal wilderness system in 1993 to preserve a mountainous section of forest and backcountry centered on Vasquez Peak. The area includes about 15 miles of trails through a compact but rugged high-country landscape.
