Nearby stands The Barnstormers summer playhouse, the oldest in New Hampshire and one of the first in the nation. Opened in 1931, it at one time had a cast that covered a weekly 80-mile circuit. Its performances are now limited to this community. The theater was founded by Francis Grover Cleveland, son of the 22nd President.
