Warrior Peaks
Nature
Warrior Peaks is a 12,411-foot mountain in Wyoming’s southern Wind River Range, on the south side of the Cirque of the Towers near War Bonnet Peak and directly on the Continental Divide. It rises in one of the range’s most rugged and sought-after climbing areas, where granite summits tower above alpine basins and passes. The peak is closely associated with the climbing and backcountry culture of the Cirque, but the surrounding terrain is serious and exposed. Along with bears, insects, wildfires, snow, and cold nights, the area’s steep class 4 and 5 routes have seen fatal falls and rockfall accidents, reflecting the mountain environment’s difficulty and remoteness.
