Andrews Glacier is a small alpine glacier in Rocky Mountain National Park, set in a cirque below Otis Peak in Colorado just beneath Andrews Pass. Extending from nearly 12,000 to about 11,700 feet, with perennial snow reaching downslope toward Andrews Tarn, it is both a striking high-country landscape feature and an important sign of environmental change. Comparisons of photographs from the early 1900s and early 2000s show a negative mass balance, indicating that the glacier has been retreating over time and preserving a visible record of long-term mountain glacier shrinkage.
