Paria Point is a 7,802-foot sandstone summit in the Kolob Canyons section of Zion National Park in southwestern Utah. It rises among closely spaced high points, with Tucupit Point to the north and Beatty Point to the south, divided by deep finger canyons. Its geology reflects a broader Zion and Colorado Plateau pattern, with Jurassic Navajo sandstone above tilted Kayenta Formation. Water from its slopes drains into Taylor Creek in the Virgin River basin. Its name comes from a Paiute word said to mean either “muddy water” or “elk water.” In Zion, it is one of the prominent summits shaping the rugged Kolob Canyons skyline.
