Timber Top Mountain is an 8,055-foot summit in the Kolob Canyons section of Zion National Park in southwestern Utah. The park’s second-highest peak, it is exceeded only by Horse Ranch Mountain. Its broad, mesa-like shape is enclosed by Navajo sandstone walls rising about 400 feet on the south side and up to 2,000 feet on the north. Kolob Arch is set into its lower southeast cliff, and Shuntavi Butte forms its western tip. Runoff from the mountain flows into Timber Creek, part of the Virgin River basin. Its height and striking sandstone setting make it a prominent feature of the Kolob Canyons landscape.
