Hyner Run State Park, a 180-acre park within Sproul State Forest in north-central Pennsylvania, grew from New Deal conservation work into a compact recreation base. Established in 1933, CCC Camp S-75-PA and Company 310 cleared brush, built roads and bridges, planted trees, cleaned streams, and constructed facilities in the regrowing forest, though much of the camp was destroyed in the 1936 West Branch Susquehanna flood. Opened to the public in 1958, the park later added camping in 1975. Today it offers trout fishing, seasonal swimming, picnicking, camping, trail access to the Donut Hole Trail system, and limited hunting and trapping.
