Stafford honored veterans who served their country during the conflicts of the 20th century, including World War I from 04-06-1917 to 11-11-1918, with 259 names listed; World War II from 12-07-1941 to 12-31-1946, with 420 names listed on one monument and 266 names listed as continued on another; the Korean War from 06-25-1950 to 01-31-1955, with 99 names listed; the Vietnam War from 02-28-1961 to 05-07-1975, with 182 names listed; Special Operations in Lebanon/Granada from 08-24-1982 to 07-31-1984; Panama from 12-20-1989 to 01-31-1990; and the Persian Gulf War from 08-02-990 to 12-31-1999, with 24 names listed. It also honored 20th-century veterans from many areas of the nation who made Stafford their home and contributed to the community, with 160 names listed on the Stafford Wall of Honor Phase III.
