Milan Hill State Park is a modest 102-acre recreation area in Milan, New Hampshire, known for camping, its hilltop setting, and a 1932 fire tower that defines much of its character. The site began as a Civilian Conservation Corps camp in the 1930s, connecting it to New Deal-era park development across the United States. Milan Hill was first called Barrows Mountain, reflecting the early settlement of John Ellingwood and Rachel Barrows around 1822; their son Isaac was the first white child born on the hill. In 2024, the park also lay in the path of totality for the solar eclipse, with totality lasting 26 seconds.
