Mount Roosevelt is a 3,528-foot summit in Vermont’s Green Mountains, within the Breadloaf Wilderness of Green Mountain National Forest and in the town of Ripton. One of the five peaks in Vermont’s Presidential Range, it was named for former U.S. president Theodore Roosevelt. The mountain sits on a divide between drainage systems flowing southeast to the White and Connecticut rivers and Long Island Sound, and north and west to the New Haven River, Otter Creek, Lake Champlain, and ultimately the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. Crossed by the Long Trail, it is part of a broader ridge walk valued for its backcountry setting, linked trails, and views toward Killington Peak.
