United Airlines Flight 93, a Boeing 757, took off at 8:42 a.m. from Newark International Airport en route to San Francisco with 44 people on board. Its takeoff had been delayed for approximately 42 minutes, giving passengers time to realize what had already happened in New York and Washington and what the hijackers on board intended while the plane was still in the air. In an amazing act of bravery, the passengers rose up with the iconic words "Let's Roll" and fought the terrorists. The plane crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, at 10:03 a.m., killing all on board but saving countless lives elsewhere.
