A pin-connected Pennsylvania through truss bridge stood at this site across the North Branch of the Susquehanna River from 1894 to 1987. Its steel and iron superstructure, built by the King Iron Bridge Company of Cleveland, Ohio, had six individual spans of 190 feet for a total length of 1,150 feet. It was one of the earliest metal truss bridges to span the Susquehanna River.
