Nature
Muley Point is a remote cliff and scenic overlook in southern Utah near Mexican Hat, rising about 6,230 feet above the surrounding desert. From its high, exposed rim, it offers broad views across the Valley of the Gods into northern Arizona, with Monument Valley visible in the distance and the San Juan River winding through the canyon below. Reached by a five-mile gravel road off Route 261, it lies south of Natural Bridges National Monument and north of the Arizona border. Its significance rests in its sweeping scale and striking isolation above one of the region’s most expansive desert landscapes.
