North Bald Cap is a 2,893-foot mountain in northern New Hampshire’s Mahoosuc Range, between Mount Success and Bald Cap Mountain. Until 1936 it was called Mount Success, while the peak now bearing that name was known as Ingalls Mountain; when the names changed, this summit became North Bald Cap. The older local name Bald Cap Dome, from the logging era, reflects its rounded shape. The summit has no maintained trail and is usually reached by way of Bald Cap Road and a bushwhack from an old skid road. Its northeast ledges attract climbers, and the mountain lies in the Androscoggin River watershed through branches of Horne Brook.
