Nature
Woodford State Park is a 398-acre Vermont state park in Woodford, set around Adams Reservoir at 2,400 feet in the Green Mountain National Forest along the Molly Stark Byway. Designated in 1963, it is known for combining a mountain lake with the higher-elevation forests of southern Vermont. The reservoir shapes much of the park’s recreation, including swimming, boating, fishing, and picnicking, while a 2.7-mile trail around the lake supports hiking and wildlife watching. The park also offers beach and picnic facilities, boat rentals, campsites and lean-tos, and winter activities, with ranger-led interpretive programs for visitors.
