Knife Point Mountain is a 13,007-foot summit in Wyoming’s northern Wind River Range, standing on the Continental Divide about 2.7 miles southeast of Fremont Peak and ranking as the state’s 32nd tallest mountain. Set in a high alpine landscape shaped by ice and steep terrain, it is flanked by Knife Point Glacier on the north and Harrower Glacier on the west. Its sharp name reflects the mountain’s exposed character. The surrounding country is remote and dangerous, with hazards including bears, wildfires, snow, cold nights, falling rock, and steep cliffs. It is significant as a high Continental Divide peak in one of Wyoming’s most dramatic mountain regions.
