Harrower Peak is a 13,057-foot mountain in Wyoming’s northern Wind River Range, standing in the Bridger Wilderness of Bridger-Teton National Forest as the state’s 28th tallest peak. In a rugged alpine setting, it rises near Harrower Glacier, less than half a mile to the northeast. The mountain honors James King Harrower of Pinedale, known as a wilderness and wildlife advocate, forest ranger, game warden, and regional historian. The surrounding country is remote and difficult, with steep class 4 and 5 terrain and hazards including bears, rockfall, wildfires, challenging snow, and sharp nighttime cold, giving the area both scenic grandeur and a serious backcountry character.
