Verdi Peak, often called the Verdi Peaks, is a group of three summits in northeastern Nevada’s Ruby Mountains. The central summit is the highest and stands about 25 miles southeast of Elko, on the edge of the Ruby Mountains Wilderness in the Ruby Mountains Ranger District of Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. Rising from the head of Talbot Canyon above Verdi Lake, the peaks form a prominent section of the east wall of Lamoille Canyon above the Terraces Picnic Area. Two southern summits stand on the Ruby Crest about 5,000 feet above Ruby Valley, and the highest summit ranks fiftieth among Nevada’s peaks.
