Liberty Peak is the common name for an officially unnamed summit in northeastern Nevada’s Ruby Mountains, about 26 miles southeast of Elko. It stands in the Ruby Mountains Wilderness within Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, just west of Liberty Pass. Rising above the head of Lamoille Canyon, it is a prominent feature in the view from the Road's End Trailhead, a well-known gateway into the range. Nearby are Liberty Lake and Kleckner Canyon to the southeast and Box Canyon to the northwest, placing the peak within one of the Ruby Mountains’ most striking glacially carved landscapes.
